Though it’s a precautionary measure to stop the spread of COVID 19, it will have an impact on the overall economy. Yesterday PM Modi announced a one day Janta Curfew to test the patience of the country with an eye on the future. This is an absolutely necessary step and I personally support it big time. Any step taken by the government to safeguard the people at large is welcome, that’s what governments are for. 

To our industry and for our fellow industry friends, this is going to keep us puzzling for a while as we are highly dependent on footfalls and that might not happen or will see less turnaround during the two crucial festivals i.e. Gudi Padwa and Akshay Trutiya. However in my opinion, there is a light at the end of the tunnel and considering the Wuhan example, this shall too pass very soon. 

Our country is on a path of growth and the economy is rapidly growing with a positive growth rate. We as a real estate developer are, and shall remain the backbone of this country’s economy. Now that PM has already announced a committee to tackle the economic woes of COVID 19. In a lot many scenarios the researchers are projecting a fast, V-shaped economic recovery as the epidemic wanes in the next financial year.
